Swimming Pool

Last Saturday morning this is what Laura and I found in the pool. Laura thought it was real, the neighbor must have thrown it into the pool.

Dusty Shoe Tour

Hi everyone, I had to be at work on Saturday because our company was giving a dusty shoe tour of the Colonnade Rec. Village that we are opening up in August. Prior to our tour I had to go to Phoenix to become a certified dust control officer. It was a one day training and since I passed the class, I got to drive around in a water truck and spray down the dirt road. We had buses transporting people to the Rec. Village and then back to their cars, as the buses drove they stirred up dust. So my job was to keep the dirt moist all day and keep the dust down. In the video I was talking to Laura from inside the big water truck because she did not believe me when I told her what I was doing.

The Sound of Paper

I took Tyler to the doctor for his four month check up last week. He loved the sound of the paper crinkling under him as he was kicking around on the table. He did this the entire visit...until it was time for his shots. Then the fun was over, poor guy!

Ashley & Drew

Here's a picture of my niece and nephew, Ashley and Drew at Easter. I haven't seen them in almost two years. They are growing up too fast! I wish I could have been there searching for eggs with them! They have 3 weeks left of school and are looking forward to summer break. I'm looking forward to my break as well and going home to see them!

ATVing

Okay, I was watching the video Neal posted of me on the ATV...I just have to say that the video really makes me look like a wimp! You have to cut me some slack because that was the first time I drove the RZR and my feet could barely reach the peddles! I promise we were going much faster than it looked in the video and we were going up a steep rocky hill, even though the video looks like flat land. Okay, I'll stop defending myself now :-)

We had a great time but I did put some permanent hand prints in the handlebars thanks to Neal's driving! I think Neal was on some personal mission to race to the top of each mountain and then back down again! Typical man!

She likes it!!

Thank you to Gina and Jason for watching Tyler for us. Laura and I were able to get out and about at Table Mesa off of I-17 and do some ATVing on our new Polaris Razor. I drove pretty much the entire time, until the end. When Laura got in the driver seat, all hell broke loose. She had the wheels spinning, rocks flying up in the air, boulders scrapping the underbody and the speedometer up to 45MPH! I was very inpressed with her driving today. Normally she is very careful and scared, but today she was just careful. Normally, it is MAN DAY, but now that no longer will fly, I will have to get my own.

Another New Toy!!

Another new toy has joined the family.....2009 Harley Davidson, xm radio, cruise control, storage for baby diapers and even has chrome!! I know what you are thinking....I just got a new Polaris Razor.....okay this one isn't mine, it is my OLD Friend Kyle Sanders in Indiana. I think this just might be an old man bike....maybe....or....the old man is driving it!!

New Toy for Tyler

Hi everyone, after careful review and collabrative meetings with Laura, Tyler was granted a new toy! It is a 2009 Polaris RZR Limited Edition 800 electronic fuel injection. Tyler and Blaze went out to the garage to sit on it, they can't wait to ride it.

Gina has agreed to watch Tyler on Sunday so mommy and daddy can go out and test the new toy. Poor Gina, I then told her that we would have to drop Tyler off at her house at 5:00am because the days are getting hotter, so it is ideal to get riding sooner then later. Thanks Gina!!

4 Months Old

Can you believe it, Tyler turned 4 months old today? Time is really flying by. We enjoy each day watching him learn new things. Tyler is beginning to hold toys, laugh, and coo. He loves to eat his hands, take baths, kick his legs around, and smile. And his absolute favorite thing to do is SLEEP! We have been so fortunate to have Tyler sleeping through the nights now. There was a time when I wondered if I would ever sleep again but amazingly as soon as I went back to work, Tyler started sleeping 10 hours each night. We are so blessed to have him in our lives!

A Bit Behind

I am a bit behind on the blog like everything else in my life right now. We have been so busy visiting with family lately (which we absolutely adore) that other things have been put on hold...like laundry, cleaning, and lesson plans which are not my favorite things to do!

Things are finally slowing down and I'm almost caught up on everything, so here is a little about what we've been up to.

Frank, Emily and the girls came to visit from South Bend. It's been two years since we've seen them, so it was nice to catch up and Tyler really enjoyed watching the girls entertain him.
Tyler experienced his first Easter. The bunny and his Easter basket from Grandma Huggins were bigger than Tyler! Tyler got on the webcam to thank Grandma and Pop's Deneen for the books they sent him for Easter. He loves the Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears book they sent. He kicked his legs in delight through the entire story. Tyler spent the week at Jillian's while Grandma Huggins took a trip to Vegas. He had so much fun there with her boys that he came home each day exhausted and was ready for bed around 6:00 and slept each night for 12 hours! While he was there, Lindsey and Jillian had him cracking up! Thanks so much Jillian for taking such good care of my boy!
